Craig Nierman helps people with insurance claims including wrongful death, serious injury, and bad faith. He handles jury trials, appeals, and insurance arbitration; he has obtained multiple seven-figure judgements or settlements. 

He serves nationally as an insurance expert in federal and state courts. He previously worked in claims management for one of the world’s largest insurance companies.

In 1999, Mr. Nierman graduated with high distinction from University of Iowa College of Law; he then taught Insurance Law there as an adjunct professor and instructs other attorneys at conferences on insurance and injury law. The legal textbook he co-authored is now in its third edition. He has been named to the Order of the Coif, the national legal honor society, and has received the highest peer review ratings from Martindale-Hubbell and Avvo.

Craig also speaks to law enforcement groups, college students, community organizations, and bar associations on representing human trafficking and sexual assault survivors. He serves in several organizations focused on stopping trafficking and supporting survivors.

Craig married his high school sweetheart. They have two adult children, have lived in the Iowa City area since 1993, and enjoy being an active part of the community.
